£48,000-52,000 plus London weighting
You are an individual with exceptional talents who can lead this exciting and successful environmental organisation. The Trust is growing into new areas and developing new projects involving young people, urban forestry, green employment and town centre/community sites. As our new Executive Director you will oversee a programme worth over £2M per year - delivered by our strong multi-disciplinary team - in east London and the Thames Gateway, from this office and new satellite locations.
You will report to the Trust’s board of directors and be responsible for strategic and business planning, partnership building with the public and private sectors, developing and securing new funding streams, and managing the sound development of the Trust. You will manage a small team of senior managers.
You will have proven leadership and management ability, financial and political acumen, outstanding communication skills, and an ability to deal with complex issues creatively. You will also have experience of working in cross sector partnerships and of inner city/urban regeneration issues. And you will be committed to the environment and the effective practice of equal opportunities.
